What To Do When She Ignores You So She Responds Right Away (Even If You Think She’s Lost Interest)…
One of the biggest questions I get from guys regarding Tinder and online dating is this:
“What do I do if she doesn’t respond to my message?”
It’s a totally valid question… and there are a lot of possible options.
Should you send her a selfie…?
A picture of your dog…?
A haiku…? (Just kidding… sort of.)
Unfortunately, there is no one perfect answer to this question. Many different women leave conversations or stop responding for many different reasons.
And so in order to know how to get her respond… you first have to understand why women stop responding in the first place.
So today, I’m going to explain some of the main reasons women don’t respond online — plus exactly what to do when she ignores you with 3 specific examples.
Why Is Online Messaging Such a “Mind Game”?
Personally, I don’t like sending more than one message without getting a response first.
But if she doesn’t respond right away, it’s easy (and understandable) to feel anxious or frustrated.
The truth is, some women really do like to play “mind games” online. She knows she’s in control, and she’s using it to her advantage. It sucks, but it’s a fact of life.
And sometimes, a woman won’t respond simply because she’s too busy. It occasionally is that simple.
At the end of the day, it’s important to remember that these women are simply pictures on your phone (right now, anyway).
They have done nothing to earn your time or investment.
However… there have been times when I’ve come across a profile or two that really caught my eye. She stood out from every other girl I had seen.
When these women don’t respond, it can be a little more painful and is a tough pill to swallow.
So over the past few months, I’ve been working on finding the best ways to get a response when you really want to talk to that woman.
There are 3 methods that work for me… and I’m betting that at least one of them will work for you too.
Beginning with method #1:
1) Send Her a GIF
Tinder recently added a feature where you can send GIF messages.
(For those of you who are not familiar with GIFs, these are animated images.)
I’ve tested out using GIFs for opening lines…
Throughout the conversation…
And in instances when she just does not respond.
And so far, they’re getting a very high response rate.
I also feel that GIF messages outperform regular text messages.
If you’re really not sure what to do when she ignores you, sending a GIF first is always a good strategy.
So which GIFs should you send?
Here are a few of my favorites:
Try to find something that’s funny but is also relatable.
That way, she’ll feel like you aren’t sending her a “canned” opener but will still get a laugh out of it.
And if that doesn’t work… just try this next method instead:
2) Send Song Lyrics
I know it sounds cheesy as hell, but song lyrics can be a great way to start a conversation or revive one that seems to be dying.
You can send her lyrics from any popular song you think she’d relate to — look at her profile for clues (a lot of women list their favorite bands in their Tinder profile).
The key is to just paste one or two lines and not the whole song.
Bonus points if you can find a song she can relate to that is also clever or funny.
If that’s not your style, I get it — song lyrics aren’t for everybody.
Here’s something else that’s been working really well for me lately…
3) Ask Her “Qualification Questions”
Qualification questions are one of the best ways to spark up a conversation if you don’t want to send a GIF or song lyrics.
But what exactly are they?
They’re questions that ask her to make a decision about her preferences or an opinion — sort of like you’re challenging her.
And since challenging a girl during conversation is always a good idea, so why not use it to rekindle a conversation?
Here are a few of my favorite qualification questions to use when a girl isn’t responding to me:
- “Make it or break it… X or Y?”
- “Hershey’s kisses or Klondike Bars…?”
- “Do you prefer tacos from [offer her choices from two local taco joints near you]…?”
The most important thing to remember is not to take it out on her if she doesn’t respond.
Why?
Because there are thousands of girls online — so if you waste your time trying to get one girl to send you one response… it’s ultimately going to be a waste of time.
These tips will help you know what to do when she ignores you and easily rekindle a conversation online… there’s no denying that.
