I know there’s a lot of talk going around about how amazing sex can be when guys are able to last a long time.
And, I know there’s just as much complaining about partners who are too quick to the finish line. Can you believe I overheard two married women chatting about this in the grocery store?
I felt so sorry for them I nearly butted in to point them toward the zucchini. Luckily I have some degree of self control.
Of course, this is something to be sensitive about–there are all kinds of reasons a guy might not be able to last long in bed, from anxiety, to medical conditions, to feeling radically turned on by his partner! I mean, that’s a serious compliment.
But it’s true, women want a guy who can last, and for a variety of reasons.
For one, it can take women quite a while to reach a point of orgasm!
According to Dr. Justin Lehmiller, it takes the average woman 13.4 minutes to reach orgasm–the average man, on the other hand, only lasts 5-6 minutes per session.
Plus, lasting longer means opportunities to try more positions, to find an incredible rhythm, and to lose all sense of time.
So what if you want to last longer but endurance is not your forte? It’s not time to give up, and you owe it to yourself and your partner to try these next tips from sex guru Nadia Brokody I’m going to share with you.
These tips helped guys last EIGHT times longer in bed. EIGHT. How?
How A Sex Therapist Teaches Real Men to Last Up to 8x Longer In Bed (Naturally)…
I’ll never forget this one night that my partner at the time and I just went on for HOURS. Normally I’d expect to get tired or dehydrated but this was not the case at all. It’s an amazing, worthwhile ambition to see if you can do it too.
The key to extending your time in bed, according to Brokody, is cognitive behavior therapy, which is apparently the “gold standard” in orgasm training.
And the second component is edging.
If you’re not familiar with this already, it’s when you masturbate close to a point of orgasm, but then stop right before you climax.
This causes the nerves in your penis to calm back down and enables you to kind of “start over”.
By doing this repeatedly, you literally train your body to be able to pull back from that enticing edge.
You become familiar with dialing back the building sensation and comfortable delaying that moment of intense pleasure.
Once you do orgasm, which should be after no more than three times coming close, it will probably even more powerful and pleasurable than usual. Brokody advises doing this three times a week for up to 30 minutes.
This Works Especially Well If You’re a Fan of The “Pull-Out” Method…
You can also use a device called a Prolong to help you gain endurance.
The device is held at the tip of the penis and removed right before climaxing to prevent you from actually having an orgasm.
The removal of this device trains the brain not to complete the orgasm. I wouldn’t say everyone necessarily needs to get a device to practice edging–everyone is different.
Some things work great for one dude and not at all for another. So try experimenting with different options and see how your body responds.
Then, when you’re having sex with your partner, you can essentially practice the same thing. If you feel yourself coming close to climax, slow down, breathe, and let your nerves reset.
You can even go down on your partner while you reset your nerves.
This way you can keep going as long as she wants! This is also a really useful skill if you rely at all on the pull-out method.
If your partner does not want you to come inside her, you need to be able to do this with perfect control. Why not get plenty of practice before it gets real?
There Is One Catch Though…
But I know, realistically, 90 minutes a week is a big commitment.
It may not be for everyone. I recommend giving it a shot and seeing how it works for you.
If you’re really motivated, maybe that doesn’t feel like long at all!
It’s your sex life, so take it into your own hands…. literally.
Because the reality is, there are a lot of scientifically proven ways to last longer in bed… and not all of them require you to use some crazy contraption, or train your brain not to come when you don’t want it to.
Here’s an example:
